How to configure a custom domain (and email) on Lovable

To use a custom domain on Lovable, open Project Settings, add your domain, and create the CNAME (or A) record Lovable shows you at your DNS provider. To send email from that domain, also add an SPF record, your provider's DKIM record, and a DMARC record at _dmarc.yourdomain, then verify.

    Add the domain in Lovable

    In your Lovable project, go to Settings then Domains, click Add domain, and enter yourdomain.com. Lovable shows you a CNAME (or A) record to add.

    Create the DNS record

    At your DNS provider (Cloudflare, Namecheap, etc.), add the exact record Lovable gave you. Propagation usually takes a few minutes to a couple of hours.

    Add SPF for sending

    If you send email from the domain (transactional or marketing), add a TXT record at the root: v=spf1 include:your-esp -all. Use our SPF generator to build it for your provider.

    Add DKIM

    Copy the DKIM TXT record from your email provider (SendGrid, Resend, Postmark, etc.) into DNS at the selector they give you.

    Add DMARC

    Add a TXT record at _dmarc.yourdomain: v=DMARC1; p=none; rua=mailto:you@yourdomain. Start at p=none, monitor, then tighten to quarantine and reject.

Does Lovable send email from my domain automatically?

No. Lovable hosts your app; email is sent by whatever email provider you integrate. You must add that provider's SPF and DKIM records, plus DMARC, yourself.
